Your shop file stays on your device. When you open your listings CSV in Real Photo Audit, it is read by JavaScript running in your own browser tab. It is never uploaded to us or anyone else.
Photos you check stay on your device too. The photo checker reads the file's own data (camera information, editing-app names, AI labels) in your browser. The photo is never uploaded.
What is stored, and where
- Your review marks (which photo you marked as unedited, which listings need a reshoot) are saved in your browser's local storage on that device, so you can come back later. Clearing your browser data deletes them.
- Your unlock is saved the same way, as a note in local storage that you paid.
- Photo thumbnails load directly from Etsy's image servers (i.etsystatic.com), the same way they load in your shop.
Optional AI photo scan
If you press "Scan photos with AI" in the shop audit, the links to your listings' public Etsy photos (only the links, at most six per listing) go to our server. It fetches small versions of those photos from Etsy and asks Google's Gemini API to label each one as a real photo, an edited photo, or a mockup. Your file's titles, prices, descriptions and everything else stay in your browser. Google processes the photos under its Gemini API terms. The labels are saved in your browser so you don't have to scan twice.
Payments
Payments are handled by Stripe on Stripe's own checkout page. We never see your card number. This only applies if you choose to chip in. Stripe shares your email address and the payment details with us so we can provide receipts and refunds. The seller of record is ShutterReach (Mukwonago, Wisconsin), which operates Real Photo Audit, and that name may appear on your card statement.
Fonts and scripts
Pages load fonts from Google Fonts and the open-source PapaParse CSV reader from cdnjs (Cloudflare). Like any website request, those services see your IP address and browser type. They never see your file.
Analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without identifying you. It never sees the contents of your file.
